Why This Order
WIND BREAKER is one of the simplest series to watch in order. The anime so far is two TV seasons from CloverWorks, 25 episodes in total, and they tell one continuous story.
Season 1 aired in spring 2024 and introduces Sakura, Furin High School and Bofurin, the group of students who protect the town. Season 2 was announced the same day Season 1 ended and aired in spring 2025, continuing the story from there.
There are no anime movies, OVAs or specials to slot in. The only WIND BREAKER film so far is a live-action adaptation from December 2025, which is separate from the anime. A third season has not been announced yet.

WIND BREAKER Watch Order FAQ
Where should I start with WIND BREAKER?
Start with Season 1 from 2024. It introduces Sakura, Furin High School and Bofurin, and Season 2 builds directly on it.
What is the correct order to watch WIND BREAKER?
Season 1, then Season 2. There are no anime movies, OVAs or specials to fit in between.
Do I need to watch Season 1 before Season 2?
Yes. Season 2 continues the same story and does not reintroduce the cast, so starting there would leave you without the setup from Season 1.
How many episodes and seasons does WIND BREAKER have?
Two seasons and 25 episodes: 13 in Season 1 (2024) and 12 in Season 2 (2025).
Is there an English dub?
Yes, for both seasons. Crunchyroll released an English dub of Season 1 in 2024 and of Season 2 in 2025, with Austin Tindle voicing Sakura in both.
Are there any filler episodes?
WIND BREAKER is an adaptation of Satoru Nii's manga, and both seasons are part of the main story. There are no side specials or spin-off episodes to skip.
Where can I watch WIND BREAKER?
Crunchyroll streams both seasons in most regions. Netflix also added Season 1 in March 2026 and Season 2 in April 2026 in some countries, so check which service carries it in your region.
Will there be a WIND BREAKER Season 3?
A third season has not been announced. Season 2 ended on June 20, 2025, and CloverWorks' panel at Anime Expo 2026 did not include a Season 3 announcement. The manga is still ongoing, so there is material left to adapt.
Is there a WIND BREAKER movie?
Not an anime one. A live-action film was announced right after Season 2 ended and was released in Japan in December 2025. It is a separate adaptation, not part of the anime's watch order.
Is the WIND BREAKER manga finished?
No. Satoru Nii's manga is still running on Kodansha's Magazine Pocket, and Kodansha USA publishes it in English.
