At Kamome Academy, rumor says Hanako-san, the ghost of the third-floor girls' bathroom, grants any wish for a price. Watch Season 1, then Season 2 and Season 2 Part 2, which together make up one 24-episode second season. The two After-school Hanako-kun runs are gag shorts with no bearing on the plot and can wait until the end or be left out.
12 episodes (2020). Nene Yashiro summons Hanako, the seventh of Kamome Academy's School Mysteries, and ends up as his assistant. Introduces Kou Minamoto and the rules the rest of the story runs on. It adapts the manga out of order and skips the Three Clock Keepers arc.
Episodes 1-12 of Season 2 (January-March 2025). Goes back for the Three Clock Keepers arc that Season 1 skipped, then moves on to later arcs such as Picture Perfect.
Not a Season 3: these are episodes 13-24 of Season 2 (July-September 2025). The anime stops here while the manga is still running.
⚠ Streaming services list these episodes inside Season 2, not as a separate season.
Four 10-minute episodes (October 2023) made of short gag segments, adapting the spin-off manga After-school Hanako-kun. No bearing on the main plot.
⚠ Listed as a separate show from the main series on streaming services.
Four more 10-minute episodes (October 2024) in the same format.
⚠ Some services list these as episodes 5-8 of After-school Hanako-kun instead of as a second season.
The main story is three entries long and each one leads straight into the next. Season 1 (2020) sets up Nene, Hanako, Kou and the School Mysteries. Season 2 and Season 2 Part 2 (both 2025) are the two halves of a single 24-episode season, numbered 1-12 and 13-24, so Part 2 is not a third season and cannot be watched on its own. Season 1 adapted the manga out of order and passed over the Three Clock Keepers arc; Season 2 goes back for it early on, so nothing is lost by watching the seasons as they are. After-school Hanako-kun is a separate pair of four-episode runs made of short gag segments from the spin-off manga. They do not move the main story, which is why they sit below the line as optional. There are no movies, OVAs or recap episodes to place.
Toilet-bound Hanako-kun has 3 seasons in the main run — 36 episodes altogether.

Where each part of the anime lines up with the source, so you know where to pick up reading.
Only spin-offs that tie into the main story are listed here — anthologies, fan books and the like are left out.
Season 1 adapts the manga out of order and skips the Three Clock Keepers arc (Chapters 23-29), which Season 2 goes back to before moving on. Season 2 Part 2 ends partway into Chapter 92. Most of Chapters 88-89 in Vol. 18 were not animated, so starting from Chapter 88 catches what was cut. One source places the stopping point at Chapter 91. No anime-original arcs are listed in episode guides.
Start with Season 1 (12 episodes, 2020). It introduces Nene Yashiro, Hanako, Kou Minamoto and the School Mysteries, and Season 2 assumes you have seen it.
Season 1, then Season 2, then Season 2 Part 2. After-school Hanako-kun and its second run are optional gag shorts that can be watched afterward. There are no movies or OVAs.
No. Season 2 Part 2 is episodes 13-24 of Season 2. It aired from July 6 to September 21, 2025, three months after the first half ended, and streaming services list all 24 episodes under Season 2. This page shows the two halves as separate entries, so the season count on this page reads 3 where the official count is 2.
The main series has 36 episodes: 12 in Season 1 and 24 in Season 2 across its two parts. That is about 14.5 hours. After-school Hanako-kun adds 8 episodes of about 10 minutes each, roughly 80 minutes more.
No. After-school Hanako-kun is a short-form series adapting the gag spin-off manga of the same name. Each 10-minute episode is made of short comedy segments, and the main story never depends on them. The first four episodes aired in October 2023 and four more in October 2024.
No. As of October 2026 there is no movie, OVA or recap episode. A special that aired in Japan on January 5, 2025, before Season 2, was a promotional program with the cast, not an episode.
The anime's latest episode aired on September 21, 2025, and no Season 3 or movie has been announced as of October 2026. The manga is not finished. It went on hiatus from late 2025 and resumed in Monthly G Fantasy on August 18, 2026.
Season 2 Part 2 ends partway into Chapter 92, so pick up the manga at Volume 19, Chapter 92. Most of Chapters 88 and 89 in Volume 18 were not animated, so starting from Chapter 88 catches what was cut.
No anime-original arcs are listed in episode guides; the episodes adapt arcs from the manga. The differences run the other way. Season 1 rearranged the manga and skipped the Three Clock Keepers arc, which Season 2 then adapted, and parts of Chapters 88 and 89 were left out of Season 2 Part 2.
Yes, for everything. Funimation dubbed Season 1 in 2020, and Crunchyroll's dub of Season 2 began on January 26, 2025, with the second half following from July 20, 2025. Justin Briner voices Hanako, Tia Ballard voices Nene and Tyson Rinehart voices Kou. Both runs of After-school Hanako-kun are dubbed as well.
