Recommended Order

Quick answer

  1. Mob Psycho 100
  2. Mob Psycho 100 II
  3. Mob Psycho 100 III

Plus 3 optional extras.

3 titles · 37 episodes · ~15 hours

Release order and story order are the same here, so the three TV seasons run straight through with nothing to rearrange. Everything below the break is optional: two side stories with no bearing on the plot, a set of gag shorts, and a short made for the anime's tenth anniversary. A feature-length recap of season 1 also exists and is covered in the FAQ.

1

Mob Psycho 100

  • TV Series
  • 12 episodes
  • July 2016

Start here. Twelve episodes that set up Mob, his boss Reigen, and the way the show handles a kid who can level a building but cannot talk to the girl he likes.

2

Mob Psycho 100 II

  • TV Series
  • 13 episodes
  • January 2019

Picks up directly from season 1 and puts both leads under far more strain than the first season did. Widely considered the high point of the series.

3

Mob Psycho 100 III

  • TV Series
  • 12 episodes
  • October 2022

The final season, and a complete ending. It adapts the rest of the manga through to its last chapter, so nothing is left hanging.

Optional Extras
4

Mob Psycho mini

  • Special
  • 6 episodes
  • September 2016
  • ⏭ Skippable

Six comedy shorts of about seven minutes each, drawn in a deliberately crude style. Pure gags with no bearing on the story.

⚠ These were released as extras on the season 1 home video rather than as broadcast or streaming episodes.

6

Mob Psycho 100 10th Anniversary Special Movie

  • Special
  • 1 episode
  • July 2026
  • ⏭ Skippable

A two-minute short from July 2026 in which Reigen's plan to launch a video channel runs into a spirit. Free to watch with English subtitles on the Warner Bros. Japan Anime YouTube channel.

Why This Order

The main line is three seasons and nothing else. Season 1 introduces Mob and Reigen, season 2 puts both of them under real pressure, and season 3 finishes the story by adapting the manga's final chapter. Each season opens where the last one closed, so there is no version of this where you skip ahead or start in the middle.

What makes the order worth spelling out is everything around those three seasons, because most of it is not story. The 2018 release called REIGEN: The Miraculous Unknown Psychic looks like a fourth entry in the list, and it is not: it retells season 1 from Reigen's point of view, with him inserting himself into fights he had nothing to do with. It is funny, but it is a recap, so it is not in the list at all.

The two remaining side pieces are genuine new animation and genuinely optional. Mob Psycho mini is six seven-minute gag shorts that came with the season 1 discs. The company trip OVA is a 24-minute original story set after season 2, with the office on a hot spring holiday. Neither one is referenced later.

The tenth anniversary short is the newest thing here, released in July 2026, and it runs about two minutes. It is self-contained and does not extend the story, but it assumes you recognise everyone on screen, so it belongs at the end rather than anywhere in the middle.

Mob Psycho 100 Spin-offs and Side Stories

Only spin-offs that tie into the main story are listed here — anthologies, fan books and the like are left out.

Mob Psycho 100: Reigen Spin-off Manga

There is no continuation point. The anime adapts the manga to its final chapter, so nothing in the main story is waiting in print. The ranges above are given in chapters rather than volumes on purpose: sources disagree over whether chapter 92 opens volume 12 or volume 13, and the chapter numbers are the part everyone agrees on. The manga ran from 2012 to 2017 and was collected in 16 volumes. Dark Horse published the English edition, closing it out with volume 16 in May 2026. What the manga still has to offer is the omake — short bonus comics at the back of each volume that the anime left out, mostly gags and slice-of-life pieces with the Body Improvement Club and the office. For an actual continuation there is REIGEN, a single-volume spin-off written and drawn by ONE and set after the ending, with Reigen running the office and Tome as his assistant. Dark Horse publishes it in English. It has not been animated.

What to watch next

If what got you here was the animation swinging wildly between gag and spectacle, or a lead who has to grow up the slow way despite being able to solve everything by force, these three are the closest on the site.

  • DAN DA DAN The other series built on occult nonsense played completely straight, where the animation goes off the rails every few minutes and the emotional beats still land.
  • Bocchi the Rock! For the same portrait of a kid too anxious to speak up, told with the same willingness to break format whenever a joke calls for it.
  • Jujutsu Kaisen Shares the exorcism work and the fight choreography, but plays the world as a threat rather than a running joke.

Mob Psycho 100 Watch Order FAQ

Where should I start with Mob Psycho 100?

Season 1 from 2016. The three TV seasons are the whole story and they run in release order, so there is nothing to work around. Everything else is optional.

Is Mob Psycho 100 finished, and will there be a season 4?

It is finished, and a fourth season is unlikely. Season 3 ended in December 2022 by adapting the manga's final chapter, so there is no source material left. The only new animation since is a two-minute short made for the anime's tenth anniversary in July 2026.

Do I need to watch the REIGEN OVA?

No, because it is not new story. Released in March 2018 between seasons 1 and 2, it retells the first season from Reigen's point of view, with him rewriting events so that he did the heavy lifting. It is a recap played as a joke, and it also served as the announcement for season 2. Watch it for fun, not for plot.

Are the shorts and the OVA worth it?

Only if you want more time with the cast. Mob Psycho mini is six gag shorts from the season 1 discs. The company trip OVA is a 24-minute original story set after season 2, with the office at a hot spring resort. Neither is referenced later.

What is the 10th anniversary special?

A two-minute short released on 12 July 2026, exactly ten years after season 1 began airing. Reigen tries to set up a video channel and a spirit gets in the way. Yuzuru Tachikawa, who directed the first two seasons, wrote and directed it, and most of the original team came back. It is free with English subtitles on the Warner Bros. Japan Anime YouTube channel.

Is there an English dub?

Yes, for all three seasons and both OVAs, but the cast is not consistent. Seasons 1 and 2 were dubbed at Bang Zoom! with Kyle McCarley as Mob. Season 3 was produced as a Crunchyroll simuldub at its Dallas studio and several roles were recast, McCarley's included, after he asked Crunchyroll to meet with SAG-AFTRA and it declined.

Where can I watch Mob Psycho 100?

Crunchyroll carries all three seasons and both OVAs, subtitled and dubbed. In the United States the series has also aired on Adult Swim's Toonami block. The tenth anniversary short is on YouTube for free.

How long does it take to watch?

The three seasons run 37 episodes, roughly 15 hours. Adding the shorts, the OVA and the anniversary special brings it to about 16.

Where does the anime leave off in the manga?

It does not leave off anywhere — season 3 adapts through chapter 101, the last one. The manga finished in December 2017 at 16 volumes, and Dark Horse completed the English edition with volume 16 in May 2026. What is missing from the anime is the omake, the short bonus comics printed at the ends of the volumes.

Is the live-action series part of the watch order?

No. A 12-episode live-action drama aired on TV Tokyo between January and April 2018. It is a separate adaptation of the manga with its own cast, not a companion piece to the anime.
