SAKAMOTO DAYS Part 1
Start here. The first half of Season 1: Sakamoto gets a bounty on his head, and Shin, Lu and a string of hitmen come crashing into the shop. Episodes 1-11.
Taro Sakamoto was the most feared hitman alive until he fell in love, retired, and gained a lot of weight running a neighborhood convenience store with his wife and daughter. When a bounty is put on his head, the old skills come back fast, but he still follows his wife's one rule: no killing.
Plus 1 upcoming title.

Watch Part 1, then Part 2. Together they make up Season 1, 22 episodes released on Netflix in 2025. Season 2 is a separate new season, coming to Netflix in January 2027. There are no movies, OVAs or side stories to fit in.
Start here. The first half of Season 1: Sakamoto gets a bounty on his head, and Shin, Lu and a string of hitmen come crashing into the shop. Episodes 1-11.
The second half of Season 1, not Season 2. It continues straight from Part 1 as escaped death row convicts come after the group, and ends with the setup for the JCC arc. Episodes 12-22.
The new season, picking up after Part 2 as Sakamoto and Shin infiltrate JCC, an academy for assassins, to track down Slur.
⚠ Coming to Netflix in January 2027. The episode count has not been announced.
SAKAMOTO DAYS has the simplest possible watch order, with one catch in the naming.
Part 1 and Part 2 are not two seasons. They are the two halves of Season 1, released in January and July 2025 with a break in between, and Part 2 continues straight from the end of Part 1. Episode numbering runs through both, so Part 2 covers episodes 12-22. Netflix also presents all 22 episodes as a single season.
That matters because Season 2 is a different thing. It is a new season, announced for January 2027 on Netflix, and it moves into the JCC infiltration arc, where Sakamoto and Shin go undercover at an academy for assassins. If you have watched both parts, you are fully caught up.
There are no films, OVAs or specials in the anime so far. A spin-off manga and a live-action adaptation exist, but neither is part of the anime story.
SAKAMOTO DAYS has 2 other entries in the main run — 22 episodes altogether.

Yuto Suzuki's manga has run in Weekly Shonen Jump since November 2020, with 28 volumes in Japan as of August 2026, and Viz Media and MANGA Plus publish it in English. After Season 1, start from Chapter 75 in Volume 9. Some guides say Chapter 76, but the last episode only adapts part of Chapter 75, so starting there means you miss nothing. The anime also left out a few slice-of-life chapters, so reading from Volume 1 gets you everything.

One so far, released in two parts in 2025. Season 2 arrives in January 2027. Because Season 1 premiered as a Netflix release, the table on this page lists its two parts as ONA entries rather than TV seasons, but they are the same 22-episode season.

Chapter 75, in Volume 9. Some guides say Chapter 76, because the last episode of Season 1 adapts part of Chapter 75, so starting at 75 means you miss nothing. If you only finished Part 1, start from Chapter 38 in Volume 5.
