25 episodes (2013-2014). The Catastrophe traps players inside Elder Tale; Shiroe founds the guild Log Horizon and sets up the Round Table Alliance to govern Akiba. Covers light novel Vols. 1-5.
25 episodes (2014-2015), continuing straight on from Season 1, with Studio Deen taking over production from Satelight. The Akiba storyline in episodes 4-8 and Shiroe's raid in episodes 9-12 happen over the same days and are shown one after the other.
Season 3: 12 episodes (January-March 2021), six years after Season 2 aired. The Round Table Alliance that Shiroe built in Season 1 comes under threat of breaking apart.
⚠ Adapts story beyond the 11 published light novel volumes, part of it from the author's web novel only.
Log Horizon is one continuous story told across three TV seasons and 62 episodes, and each season starts where the last one stopped. Season 1 covers the Catastrophe, the founding of the guild Log Horizon and the creation of the Round Table Alliance in Akiba. Log Horizon 2 widens the story to raids, the other server regions and the question of how to get home. Destruction of the Round Table arrived in 2021, six years after Season 2, and puts that alliance under threat. Nothing here is optional and nothing sits outside the main line: the only other broadcasts were recap specials on Japanese TV, which are not part of this list. The production studio changed from Satelight to Studio Deen with Season 2, and Deen also made Season 3.
Log Horizon has 3 seasons in the main run — 62 episodes altogether.

Where each part of the anime lines up with the source, so you know where to pick up reading.
Only spin-offs that tie into the main story are listed here — anthologies, fan books and the like are left out.
Season 3 adapts Vol. 11 together with Vols. 12 and 13, which exist only as the author's web novel and have not been published as books. The books stop at Vol. 11 in both Japanese and English, so there is no official text to continue with after the anime. Log Horizon 2 adapts Vols. 6-10 out of volume order and includes some anime-original material, such as part of episode 13.
Start with Log Horizon, the 25-episode first season from 2013. It sets up the Catastrophe, the guild and the Round Table Alliance, and the later seasons assume all of it.
Log Horizon, then Log Horizon 2, then Log Horizon: Destruction of the Round Table. That is the whole anime: three TV seasons with no movies, OVAs or spin-off series.
Yes. Destruction of the Round Table is the third season, 12 episodes that aired from January 13 to March 31, 2021. It was first scheduled for October 2020 and was delayed by COVID-19.
62 episodes: 25 in Season 1, 25 in Log Horizon 2 and 12 in Destruction of the Round Table. That is about 26 hours.
No. The only extras are recap specials shown on Japanese TV: a 58-minute summary of episodes 1-6 that aired on November 11, 2013, and another special on January 6, 2021, a week before Season 3. They are not in the list above.
Yes, once. Satelight made Season 1, and Studio Deen made both Log Horizon 2 and Destruction of the Round Table. The change came with Season 2, not Season 3.
The latest episode aired on March 31, 2021, and no Season 4 has been announced as of October 2026. The story is not finished. The light novels have had no new volume since Vol. 11 in March 2018, and the web novel they are based on has not been updated since then either.
The anime is ahead of the books. Season 1 covers Vols. 1-5, Log Horizon 2 covers Vols. 6-10, and Season 3 adapts Vol. 11 along with two further volumes that exist only as the author's web novel. The published light novels stop at Vol. 11 in both Japanese and English, so there is no official book to continue with after Season 3.
Only a little, in Log Horizon 2. The clearest case is episode 13, the Valentine's Day episode, which is partly anime-original. The rest of that season adapts Vols. 6-10, though not in volume order.
Yes, for all three seasons. Sentai Filmworks dubbed Season 1 and Log Horizon 2, and Funimation dubbed Destruction of the Round Table. Mike Yager (Shiroe), Jad Saxton (Akatsuki) and Andrew Love (Naotsugu) play the leads throughout. Some supporting roles were recast for Season 3, such as Soujiro.
In the United States, all three seasons stream on Crunchyroll. Availability varies by region.
Yes. Yen Press has published all 11 volumes by Mamare Touno, with illustrations by Kazuhiro Hara, which is everything released in Japan. Yen Press also published the spin-off manga Log Horizon: The West Wind Brigade in 11 volumes.
