The TV anime was made as a single 24-episode season and broadcast in two 12-episode halves in 2015, the first from April and the second, Battle in Nagoya, from October. Stores usually sell them as Season 1 and Season 2. Either way the second half continues straight from the first, so watch them in order and close together.
Vampire Shahal is a single OVA with an original story and original characters, first screened at the Jump Special Anime Festa in November 2015 and then bundled with volume 11 of the manga in Japan on May 2, 2016. It is set between the two halves, but nothing in Battle in Nagoya depends on it, so it is listed as an extra.
Seraph of the Endless is the name of the bonus shorts included on the Japanese Blu-ray and DVD volumes, one set for each half. They are not part of the story.
Seraph of the End has 2 seasons in the main run — 24 episodes altogether.

Where each part of the anime lines up with the source, so you know where to pick up reading.
The TV anime adapts the manga through chapter 41, three chapters into volume 11, and its final episodes diverge from the manga. Chapter 42 is the first unadapted chapter; reading from chapter 38 in volume 10 covers the part the anime changed. The manga is still running in Jump SQ and is set to end with volume 37. The Vampire Shahal OVA is anime-original.
Watch Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign (episodes 1 to 12), then Battle in Nagoya (episodes 13 to 24). The Vampire Shahal OVA and the Seraph of the Endless bonus shorts are optional.
Start with Vampire Reign, the first 12 episodes from April 2015. Battle in Nagoya is the second half of the same story and does not work as a starting point.
It is sold and listed as Season 2 in many places, but the anime was produced as one 24-episode season split into two halves. Vampire Reign began on April 4, 2015 and Battle in Nagoya on October 10, 2015. The count on this page treats them as two seasons because they are two separate entries.
No. It is an original story with original characters in which Shinoa's squad is sent to rescue a girl taken by a vampire named Shahal. It is set between the two halves of the TV anime, was first screened at the Jump Special Anime Festa in November 2015, and was released in Japan bundled with volume 11 of the manga on May 2, 2016.
Seraph of the Endless (Owaranai Seraph) is the name of the bonus shorts included with the Japanese Blu-ray and DVD volumes, one set for each half of the TV anime. They are not part of the story and can be skipped.
About 9.5 hours for the 24 TV episodes. The Vampire Shahal OVA adds roughly 25 minutes.
Yes. Funimation produced an English dub of the TV anime, with Micah Solusod as Yuichiro, Justin Briner as Mikaela and Dave Trosko as Guren. Digital stores sell both halves with English and Japanese audio.
There are no filler episodes in the TV anime: all 24 episodes adapt the manga, though the last few change how events play out. The Vampire Shahal OVA is the only anime-original story.
In the United States it is sold digitally on Apple TV and Amazon Video, as two 12-episode seasons with English and Japanese audio. Availability on subscription services changes and varies by country.
Not yet, but it is close. The manga by Takaya Kagami, Yamato Yamamoto and Daisuke Furuya has run in Jump SQ since September 4, 2012, and the afterword of volume 36, released in Japan on May 1, 2026, says the story will end with volume 37. Viz Media publishes it in English.
Nothing has been announced. The last TV episode aired in December 2015 and Wit Studio has not shared any news of a continuation, even though the manga has run for more than a hundred chapters past the point the anime reached.
Start at chapter 42, in volume 11. The anime covers the manga up to chapter 41, but its last episodes play out differently, so some readers go back to around chapter 38, in volume 10, to see the Nagoya arc end the way the manga tells it.
